depicted seated atop a mythical lion, the bodhisattva holding a vase in one hand, the other raised, wearing long, flowing robes, the benevolent face with downcast eyes, the head crowned and backed by a white mandorla, painted in muted reds, green, yellow, brown black and white and further accented with details outlined in thread relief, framed
Condition
The fresco with restoration, overpaint and consolidation to the areas of loss and lifting on the surface - areas of filled repair have discolored to a pink tone. The surface has been coated with a varnish that has yellowed. There are chips and losses along all for sides.
