Both with wear to the gilding on the rim. One vase with a restored break around the neck and associated restored cracks to the rim.

Jurentang formerly Haiyantang, and built for the empress dowager Cixi, was for 83 days the residence of Yuanshikai, the general who from (1915-1916) briefly declared himself emperor using the reign name 'Hongxian'. It is thought that pieces with the Jurentang hallmark were produced during this period and are considered among the best examples of Hongxian period porcelain.
