The first plaque has chips and small losses along the edge, and a 1 in. (2.5 cm) section is polished. There are minute nicks along the edges of the carving. The accompanying brass plate has a small repair and discoloration along the lower edge. The second plaque has a small flaw in the stone near the center. There are some fissures in the stone that have been incorporated into the carving. There are minute nicks along the edges.
