Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is stable with no major damages. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals repaint in much of the darker tones of the background and ledge, and a significant degree of scattered retouchings throughout the flowers. The old varnish fluoresces opaque beneath this campaign of restoration.
This lot is offered in a carved wood and gesso gilt and painted frame in good condition.
