Acquired by the father of the present owner in England.

Condition

Both canvases are lined, there are no major damages visible. The canvases have been extended on all sides in order to make them ovals. visible at each margin is approximately 2 inches of additions at their widest part, these additions are in keeping with the rest of the picture and do not detract from the overall effect. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a small degree of other scattered strengthenings throughout the darker tones, the faces, bodies of the main figures and floral details remain relatively untouched. In fair overall condition. This lot is offered in matching oval carved and gilt wood frames in good condition.
