明末 黃花梨鏡箱

鏡臺上層包括箱蓋，托板與撐架，托板攢接成格，框內四邊嵌裝透雕花草紋的縧環板，正中方格安角牙鎪出菱形，下方設荷葉式托子，以備支架銅鏡。托板與撐架皆兩頭出軸，納入底座臼窩，能旋轉支起托板或接疊平放藏於底座之內。鏡臺下部設三具抽屜，抽屜臉雕花草紋，下端伸展為造型優美的三彎小足。鏡箱前後包括箱蓋四角安銅活加固，正面長方形面葉，拍子雲頭形，所有銅活為黃銅製。

「鏡箱具屜，又一經典，只配落雁沉魚、羞花閉月。」

黃花梨接疊式鏡臺，是由鏡架發展而來的家具。架下增添了臺座，兩開門及內設抽屜，或不安門只設抽屜。此具鏡箱，是標準鏡臺加安了蓋，鏡架放平後可以上蓋，尤為特別。

帶蓋的黃花梨鏡箱例僅見，上海博物館藏一接疊式鏡臺，見於王世襄，《明式家具研究》，北京，2008年，頁213，卻沒有上蓋。
