the ovoid body rising from a recessed base, set to one side with a double strap handle and to the other with a short spout, painted and gilt around the body with a lakeside landscape beneath a Fitzhugh-style band at the rim
Condition
The ewer is in good condition with the exception of its missing cover, a 6mm., diam., glaze flake to the lower body and minor wear to the gilded decoration..
