An Italian pale green painted and carved giltwood commode, Veneto, late 18th century

with a later inset Siena? marble top, above two long drawers flanked by stop-fluted stiles with concave sides applied with a neo-classical urn on fluted toupie feet

Marble top restored with some infill, some minor chips and scratches. There are construction cracks and scattered age cracks including two vertical cracks down right side when facing and one down the left side and there has been shrinkage to the left hand panel leaving a gap. Some minor losses to the moulding to both rear corners and to decoration as visible from the catalogue photograph.There are some losses to the feet as visible from the photograph.The handle on one drawer warped.
