清 乾隆時期 成親王永瑆書乾隆御題詩掐絲琺瑯掛屏

of rectangular form, with a turquoise-enameled diaper ground, applied in six vertical lines with the kaishu-style inscription, each character cast in gilt-metal, signed Yongxing-the eleventh son of the Qianlong Emperor 

The cloisonné panel itself is in overall good condition. There are however a few missing characters and strokes: vertical line 1, 3rd character 'ming' has half stroke missing, the 17th character 'yuan' missing the top horizontal stroke; line 2, the 17th character 'xiang' has a stroke missing; line 4, the 13th character 'gu' entirely missing, with a replacement ; one of the seals 'jing shu' is largely missing, only a part of the frame remaining.

御製命彭元瑞曹文埴撿四庫全書古來見元孫者有幾，據奏，自唐迄明凡六人，詩以誌事:
五世元孫膝上珍，
撿茲有幾命儒臣，
奏來詳悉翻四庫，
特出禎祥得六人，
恰彼古稀帝同數，
贏其家慶我饒臻，
如斯天貺叨駢疊，
忍不敕幾心愛民。
子臣永瑆敬書

在清皇室的成員中， 成哲親王永瑆（1752 -1823）的書法造詣和成就應該是最高的。 他是清高宗乾隆帝第十一子。善收藏， 因皇太后賜陸機《平復帖》，又號詒晉齋主人。著有《聽雨屋集》、《詒晉齋詩文集》、《詒晉齋法書》、《倉龍集》等。

他的書法風格集歐陽詢及趙孟頫之端莊俊逸，特別是他的楷書筆劃瘦硬挺峭，行距疏朗， 評價極高。 楊翰（1812-1879）《息柯雜著》謂：「詒晉齋書，素未究心，但知其從趙​​承旨上溯歐陽率更，雖偶涉諸家，終不離兩家宗旨。集卷隨手雜臨，竟有脫盡町畦，不似本家筆意者。篆、隸亦有法度，蓋書非一時，臨非一家，不甚經意，而精神所寄，一一渾足，此無意勝於有意也。」

乾隆四十九年（1784）， 乾隆皇帝第六次南巡，他的第十一子永瑆亦在隨從之列。乾隆於三月十二日在龍潭行館得到留京大臣的加急奏摺，報告他的曾長孫奕純在本月八日喜得一男，乾隆有了第一個元孫。這件五代同堂的大喜事令乾隆皇帝喜不自勝之餘，當即作詩為慶。分別為《留京王大臣飛報得五代元孫之喜，詩以志意》和《命彭元瑞曹文埴檢四庫全書古來見元孫者有幾，據奏，自唐迄明凡六人，詩以志事》。永瑆也於是揮毫錄下父皇詩文，並複製到其他材質上，永久保存。此掐絲琺瑯掛屏就是幸存的其中一件。另一件在佳士得倫敦2011年5月10日春拍會上拍出（該品為藏家於1970年代購自英國著名古董商Spink & Son；被改製為條桌面案）。台北故宮博物院亦收藏有同樣內容的玉製插屏。
