Movement running at time of cataloging, however not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Case in good condition with minor scratches and wear. Monogram to the case back: AM. Inscription to the cuvette: For Long Service Presented to Arthur P Miller on his Completing 15 Years Service with Lever Brothers Limited Port Sunlight 15 March 1921. Dial in good condition with slight pitting.

The carousel complication was introduced as an alternative to the tourbillon, invented by Abraham Louis Breguet in 1795. First utilized by Dane Bahne Bonniksen in 1892, the carousel, in a similar manner to the tourbillon, rotates to counteract the effects of gravity on the accuracy of the watch. Bonniksen intended for the carousel, which is essentially the escapement mounted on a rotating platform, to be a more durable alternative to the tourbillon.
