Condition
Automatic movement running and minute repeating function in working order while cataloguing. The watch has not been tested for accuracy of time keeping, a service might be needed in the near future at buyer's expense. Dial looks nice and clean, hands slightly oxidized which is normal due to age. Case and buckle with scuffs from normal wear, light scratches behind the lugs. Overall appears in very good condition. Highly recommend!

百達翡麗於1989年推出3979型號，與Caliber 89最複雜功能錶、3974、3969和3960等型號同為150週年誌慶錶款，也是品牌最令藏家追捧的2524/1型號的繼任錶款， 延續了傳統懷錶製作工藝。
此型號搭載設計巧妙的caliber R 27 PS機芯，具342個零件，當中包括雙簧三問報時機制及22K金微型擺陀組成。據了解，此機芯生產編號由1904000開始，此枚3979搭載機芯編號1904007，可見為150週年慶當年發行的頭幾枚。
其錶殼由大師Jean-Pierre Hagmann 先生親手打造，他的簽名JPH刻印在實心背蓋上。Jean-Pierre Hagmann先生為世界知名的錶殼工匠，專為頂尖錶廠製作錶殼，其中包括百達翡麗一系列具備三問功能的高端複雜腕錶如3974、3979及5029等型號，可見其非凡工藝及舉足輕重之地位。
