Composed of 16 hardstone beads measuring approximately 25.0 mm and 17 fluted carved amethyst beads measuring approximately 20.0 to 14.5 mm, spaced by rondelles applied with green enamel, length 32 inches, signed Webb.
Condition
In fair condition. The opaque, light, very slightly yellowish green hardstone beads are in fair condition with significant discoloration at the point where the bead meets the green enamel rondelle as well as a few small spots of orange matrix on four beads that are not readily visible when the necklace is worn. Interesting dark veining and matrix on the hardstone beads. The heavily included carved amethyst beads display a medium light purple hue. Amethysts have sustained chipping and abrasions to the higher points of the fluted beads. The green enamel clasp and rondelles are in good condition.
