finely worked in the round as a large furled lotus leaf with finely rendered veins borne on a curled stem depicted on the underside, the rim with a small bat with outstretched wings, the exterior with an attendant smaller furled lotus leaf with an undulating edge and a budding lotus blossom, the stone of an even white colour with faint russet inclusions skilfully picked out with veins, wood stand

Condition

In overall good condition. There are minor nicks and possibly areas that have been polished to the rim of the vessel and the edges of the attendant lotus bud. There are small nicks to the edge of the attendant leaf, the largest measuring approx. 0.4 cm. There is also a small chip measuring approx. 0.7 cm to the wing of the bat. The catalogue illustration is greyer than the actual colour of the jade.
