- bamboo
finely carved in the round as a pumpkin issuing from a gnarled branch bearing large leaves and meandering tendrils extending across the surface, the bamboo patinated to a warm brown colour
Condition
The carving is in overall good condition with just expected worm holes and age cracks to the branch and surface of the pumpkin respectively. The catalogue illustration is a tinge redder and warmer than the actual colour of the bamboo. There is an approx. 1.5 cm. fragment of a twig that has become detached.
