meticulously carved as archaistic yi-form ewer and cover, carved with a central taotie band and with a phoenix-form handle and finial in openwork, beside a flattened baluster vase, set to the shoulder with a pair of S-scroll handles, with a large gnarled lingzhi stem entwined between the two vessels, issuing numerous small lingzhi heads, the stone of a mottled spinach-green color (2)

Condition

In very good condition. A 0.3 cm chip to the underside of one of the lingzhi heads, the rims of each of the vessels with minute 0.1 cm chips; the foot ring of the vase with two minute rim chips.
