with a globular bumpa enameled with lotus below stylized animal-masks suspending beaded garlands, all raised on a waisted square pedestal enameled with lotus lappets, surmounted by a tapering tower topped by a ruyi-bordered parasol with a moon, sun and jewel-form finial (2)

Both stupas with characteristic pitting, crazing and small losses to the enamel scattered throughout. Both stupas with fills to the enamel above the door frame on the bumpa, as well as to the square bases. One stupa with loss at one small corner of the base, and some repairs to the bottom band of enamel on the tapering tower. The other stupa, with misfired enamel and fill on the crescent moon of the finial, and the door frame is possibly a replacement. There are also small areas of wear and surface dirt to the gilding, and minor nicks along the edges.
