of low domed form, set to one side with a short, straight spout, and to the other with a strap handle, carved around the sides with a band of foliage above a border of broad, lappets with combed details, the flattened cover surmounted with a small knop and pierced with two holes, the ewer and cover applied with an olive-green glaze, thinning at the rims and stopping unevenly above the foot to reveal the buff body (2)

Condition

In good general condition. A 1.7 cm glaze gap above the foot, possibly a polished kiln adhesions, and a 0.4 cm burst glaze bubble at the shoulder. A 0.2 cm rim chip. The glaze thinning and flaking at the rims. The slightly crackled glaze with surface wear, scratching and firing imperfections consistent with age and use.
