both carved in relief, one of oval form with a carp in a pond, the other rectangular with a dragon amongst waves clutching a pearl

Condition

Oval Buckle: The rounded clasp to the reverse has been broken off and carved back to the surface. There is a 1cm old crack to the same area running from the edge and a shallow 6mm by 6mm chip to the other end of the underside and another small one next to this 3mm by 1mm. Rectangular Buckle: There is a small area of damage to one claw to the right of the head of the dragon. There is an old circular 1.5cm crack to the underside running from the inner edgeand some reddish staining to the lower edge.
