清十七/十八世紀 銅鎏金度母坐像

seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, the right hand held in varadamudra and the left raised to the chest in vitarkamudra, the uptala lotuses missing, wearing a dhoti and a loose shawl over the shoulder, adorned with bejewelled necklaces around the waist and the chest, the face with a benevolent expression, crowned with a five-leaf tiara in front of a high chignon

本度母（或稱綠度母）像明淨細緻，寶相慈詳，端莊秀麗，切合度母妙齡女性形像。度母手印深顯慈悲，安撫眾生，單足斜置座前，有如正凝神意會身邊事物。度母多伴觀音身旁，拯救眾生，解其輪迴之苦。

明清二朝，供奉度母信眾尤多，廣製度母銅鎏金像。北京故宮博物院收藏一例，圖見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集·藏傳佛教造像》，香港，2003年，圖版230，書中並錄兩白度母像，圖版231及247；George Crofts收藏以綠度母像，現藏於多倫多Royal Ontario Museum，曾展於《Wisdom and Compassion. The Sacred Art of Tibet》，Royal Academy of Arts，倫敦，1992年，編號25；另可比較兩白度母像，曾展於《清宮秘藏：承德避暑山莊藏傳佛教文物特展圖錄》，鴻禧美術館，台北，1999年，編號63。
