Condition
Inspected framed: There is a diagonal scratch to the left chest and some minor paint flakes to the left sleeve. There is a brown stain to the top left corner of the painting. Some general minor foxing.

關喬昌（1802-約1860年），西方人稱「Lamqua」，廣東人，外銷畫畫師，創作極豐。據稱，關氏從未離開中土，然而卻為首名於西洋展出畫作之中國畫師，倫敦皇家學院於1835及1845年先後展出其畫作。林官像極為鮮見，可比一油彩畫布例，紀年1853，現藏於香港藝術館，載於Patrick Conner，，《Arts of Asia》，1999年3-4月，圖版1。
