the rounded sides rising from a short foot, decorated to the interior with a central medallion enclosing a dragon writhing amongst clouds and flame wisps in pursuit of a flaming pearl, encircled by two further dragons chasing pearls amongst clouds and flames, the exterior similarly decorated, all reserved on a ground of blue washes, the base with a six-character seal mark

The dish has a firing crack to the base (3.5cm) with associated chips. The foot has some minute shallow flakes. There are some surface scratches, including one on the left side of the mark and some to the interior. Minor glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots and burst glaze bubbles
