日本當代藝術經常與影響深遠、以村上隆為首的「超扁平」運動劃上等號，或受到奈良美智的可愛風格所影響，被冠上「卡娃依」的外號，甚至讓人聯想到草間彌生的普普畫風。今次拍賣會隆重介紹多位才華橫溢、年輕出眾的日本藝術家，風格有別於以上各個藝術運動的大方向，聚焦於簡約主義、人物肖像、超現實，以至抽象主義。這批年輕藝術家的作品，為日本當代藝術注入新氣象，讓觀眾以全新角度審視既有藝術形式。

一九八一年生於大阪，學士及碩士學位均於京都市立藝術大學取得，後者為二〇〇六年。畢業後在東京進行藝術創作，並於市內多間名聞遐邇的藝廊舉行個展，包括福果藝廊的「Super Hero」（二〇一二年）、美術待合室的「Waiting Room」（二〇一三年）及 Yoyogi Art Gallery的「STOROBO」（二〇一四年）。她的「EL DORADO」系列，更在二〇一四年於東京福果藝廊及馬德里Quinta del Sordo展出，讓她聲名大噪。畫中女孩往往身處迷漫的場景當中，而畫家更採用柔和的色彩和輪廓，模糊真實和幻想的邊界，從而提升作品的神秘感。這位年輕藝術家在全球藝壇享負盛名，作品曾展出於多個國際展覽，包括紐約Lamia Ink的「Winter Discoveries」（二〇一四年）及馬德里 La Farmacia的 「TAKE A CHILL PILL」（二〇一四年）。此外，她的作品亦被選入日本群馬縣立近代美術館的「二〇一二年群馬青年藝術家雙年展」，並於二〇一〇年榮獲「創造都市浜松繪畫公募展」市民賞。
