款識：
桃紅李白菜花黃，俛瞰雲端認故鄉；
六十年來無此樂，四禪天外任迴翔。
曩航空遊新桃源得句。潮田中尉殿。鐵禪。

註：鐵禪和尚，俗姓劉，廣東番禺人。青年時，曾投黑旗軍，赴越南參加抗法戰爭。返鄉後，因妻兒病故，入六榕寺剃度出家。

他擅詩，好交結文藝界，國畫研究會即組織於其寺「人月堂」內；與軍政界亦有過從，自晚清以迄民國，未因政局動盪而受影響。穗城陷敵後，出任日偽控制下佛教組織之高職，並赴日拜謁天皇。勝利後，以漢奸罪服刑。

本幅以航空遊得詩句，寫贈日人「潮田中尉」，或為戰鬥機飛行員潮田良平。
