the Guanyin depicted standing, emptying a jar of water streaming down at her feet, depicted with a bird suspending a rosary in its beak beside the deity, the stone of an even white colour; the other figure depicted with the right hand holding an alms bowl, dressed in a dhoti and a celestial scarf billowing in the wind, all in front of a flaming mandorla, the stone of a pale celadon colour with faint streaks and icy inclusions, wood stand

There is a chip to the pointed tip of the frame behind the Guanyin (as visible in catalogue), and some nicks, predominantly to the leafy plant and bird's tail. There are traces of old glue to the underside of the carving. There are chips to the tongues of flames on the bodhisattva carving (as visible in the catalogue), and some bruises and wear to the extremities. The carving is affixed to the wood.
