the compressed globular body rising from three short tapering feet, the rim surmounted by a pair of sloping loop handles, the base with an apocryphal four-character Xuande seal mark within a recessed cartouche, the stand cast in the form of a round lotus leaf resting on three feet, the metal of a golden russet tone with irregular gold splashes

Condition
The incense burner has an approx. 3.5 by 1 cm recessed area near one of the tripod feet as a result of application of pressure, several small nicks to the rim near where the loop handles are attached, and overall surface scratching and rubbing to the patina. There are two old pen inscriptions to the base of the censer reading 'N 65/ 2108240' and 'Y with stand' and another reading 'Stand for Z. 783' to the base of the stand.
