with shallow rounded sides, finely painted on the interior with a turquoise-ground medallion of five bats surrounding a central shou symbol, below a border of blue-enamelled chilong encircling the interior rim, the underside similarly decorated with iron-red bats and shou symbols against turquoise leiwen, the base inscribed in iron-red with a four-character hall mark
