of ruyi form, decorated on the cover with a countryside retreat and simulation pudding stone on the side, all above moulded classic scroll around the gilt base, the latter impressed with a six-character apocryphal Qianlong mark
Condition
There is extensive loss to the turquoise enamel on the interior, some nicks and a minute firing cracks to the interior rim. There is some rubbing to the gilding on the rim and around the base and occasionally to the enamels on the sides. The base has possibly been re-enamelled in gold. Otherwise the box and cover are in good condition.
