元至正 銅銘文三足香爐

of archaistic liding form supported on three short legs, with taotie masks on a leiwen ground cast around the sides, the base with eight trigrams in a circular medallion

The inscription can be translated as 'the devotee, Yin Wenhua of Xiang province, made the gift of donating this incense burner and Chen Xihao of the Yungyan district being the blessing receiver'. It is dated to the sixth month of the hingxu year of Zhizheng (1346).
