of circular form, the domed cover decorated in shaded tones of cobalt-blue with four court ladies in a courtyard and young boys at play, the sides of the box similarly decorated with frolicking boys, the base inscribed with a four-character inscription reading changming fugui ('longevity and wealth') within a double-circle, wood stand
Condition
There is a four-pronged star crack to the interior of the box, not going through the body (the longest prong 5.5 cm). There is a 0.7 cm flake to the exterior rim of the cover. There are some expected light scratches to the surface glaze, gaps in the glaze, predominantly on the base, and occasional minor specks or pinholes. Otherwise the box is in quite good condition. There is some expected wear and typical age cracks, chips or dents to the wood stand.
