of cylindrical form with thick rounded sides supported on a flat base hollowed-out in the centre and fitted with a central plug, the well figured wood richly patinated to a deep brown colour
Condition
The brushpot is in overall good condition. There are a few expected light surface scratches, occasional dents on the sides or along the edges of the mouthrim and footrim, all consistent with age. There are a few age visible cracks, predominantly to the underside around the loose central plug.
