the first carved with Guandi and inscribed zhongyi qianqiu (‘loyal throughout the ages’), the second carved in openwork with dragon flying amidst auspicious objects
Condition
The Guandi plaque is in overall good condition. There are some nicks to the corners and light pitting on the surface, with cloudy inclusions noticeable from the reverse of the plaque; there are some nicks and expected nibbling along the edges of the dragon plaque, but otherwise the condition is good.
