finely carved in the form of two plump fruits attached to a gnarled leafy stalk, two bats hovering by, the smoothly polished stone of pale celadon colour picked out with darker veins on one side
Condition
The carving is in good overall condition. There is some light expected wear and natural pitting to the underside of one fruit and an inventory mark reading '1227 L.' inscribed in red enamel. The actual colour is warmer and deeper, more pale celadon and less grey when compared to the catalogue illustration.
