with legs folded neatly under its robust body and turning its horned head over the shoulders, carved with stylised and whorled tufts of hair along the spine and pierced down the middle of its back through to the belly, the stone with russet highlights and fine veins throughout 

The pendant is in overall very good condition. The body is pierced through vertically to thread a string. The actual colour of the jade is a tinge more celadon and less yellow and white than the catalogue illustration.
