well potted with a compressed globular body and wide rim, set with two loop handles, applied with a white slip stopping well above the foot and exposing the light grey stoneware, the upper portion of the body covered with a crackled creamy white glaze and painted with four sprays of foliage in black, the interior glazed in dark brown

Condition
The mouth has a stabilised forked hairline crack to the mouth, measuring about 3 cm from the mouthrim before splitting into two prongs of approx. 6 and 4 cm respectively. There are some expected firing cracks, including a 'V'-shaped one of approx. 2 by 2.8 cm to the base and some fine ones surrounding the handles which are nevertheless intact. There is also a flake of approx. 1.8 cm below one handle, possibly original to the firing, in addition to some typical surface scratches and wear especially to the interior.
