well potted, with a pear-shaped body supported on a high splayed foot, sweeping up to a flared rim, set with two gnarled branch-form loop handles moulded at the neck with clusters of leafy peaches suspending a beribboned chime, deftly painted around the body in grisaille enamels reserved on a thick yellow ground with a bird perched on a vine tree, a spray of roses extending from the base, all between a register of castellated lappets picked out in turquoise around the foot and pendant ruyi under the gilt rim, the shoulder incised with an iron-red Dayazhai ('Studio of Great Elegance') horizontal mark and an oval panel reading tian di jia chun ('Spring throughout heaven and earth'), the interior and the base glazed turquoise, the latter inscribed with a four character yong qing chan chun mark ('Eternal joy and everlasting spring')

Condition
The vase is in good overall condition. There is some minor wear to the surface enamels on the handles and some rubbing to the gilding around the mouth rim.
