沈勤，1958年出生於江蘇南京，現為江蘇省國畫院專業畫家，國家一級美術師。
沈勤的繪畫給人一種平靜淡遠的觀感，利用水墨的薄、 透、空靈特性，通過層層的淡墨暈染和明確的線條營造出似真似幻的空間，這些線面構成的空間又頗具抽象美感。相比淡墨作品來說，重墨暈染的作品更具充滿了神秘幽邃之感，這幅作品通過小路、遠山、楊樹和空地的描繪，顯示出了山村寧靜，構圖的留白讓我們將目光集中在了畫面的中心，深深被吸引到畫面遠方。
