袁遠的畫面充斥著懷舊感，透露著一種令人無以名狀的傷感及失落。他的筆觸細緻中見變化，遠看高度像真，近見藝術家感性的筆觸，充滿著情感的悸動。袁遠喜歡以室內空間作為題材，在宏偉與廢墟的場景之間，抓著空間對觀者的心理投射，形成超現實的視覺感官經驗。《流動之三》是其中非常獨特之作，畫面描述一個教堂的內部，玻璃窗透著的並不是澄藍的天空，而是海洋的深淵，教堂尤如浸沒在汪洋之中，是一則令人深思的暗喻。

袁遠來自杭州，二〇〇八年畢業於中國美術學院碩士學位，是近年備受關注的藝術家。
