秦艾，一九七三年生於江蘇省南通市，一九九六年畢業于南京藝術學院美術系中國畫專業。現為職業畫家，生活於南京。
秦艾是中國當代工筆領域重要女藝術家之一，以超現實主義的手法和細膩的工筆技法描繪著自己營造的舞臺劇，她筆下的繪畫經常以動物為主題比如鹿、仙鶴、熊、蝴蝶等，這些動物走入了現實生活的舞臺場景，形成了真實與虛幻的劇場。這些動物呈現出了恐懼、憤怒、悲傷、平靜等表情，這也正表現出了動物世界對現實世界中人類發展和擴張中的反映和表情，同樣作為個體的人在經歷社會發展和巨變過程中也呈現出了迷惘和期待。

《相邀之二》是由室內舞臺走到室外場景，本身就空靈詭秘的太湖石在秦艾細膩的工筆描繪下更加顯得神秘莫測，上方飛舞的蝴蝶以及模糊的竹葉讓作品本身更加構圖飽滿和具有層次，同時適當的留白讓我們對此場景留有更多的遐想空間。
