debout en pratyalidhasana, écrasant une figure féminine allongée sur un socle lotiforme moulés séparément, le bras droit levé près de la tête, l'attitude féroce, la tête courroucée aux yeux exorbités, la chevelure rouge dressée derrière une couronne à cinq pointes, le corps replet couvert de bijoux et d'un serpent en guise de collier, les hanches habillées d'une peau de tigre, scellé (2)

Acquired in China in the early 1900s by a French military (by repute).
Condition
The figure is finely and heavily cast, the figure and base cast separately. It is in overall good condition with the exception of part of the ribbon flowing above/behind and across the figure's right arm. There is very minor wear to the rich gilding. Both stiles to fix the figure to the stand are broken, one re-stuck. The base is sealed.
