finement sculpté et ajouré, représentant une scène de lettrés se divertissant dans un jardin planté de pins, accompagnés de dames de cour et de serviteurs, inscription sur le côté Xiyuan yaji tu ("élégante réunion dans le jardin de l'Ouest") et signature San Song (apocryphe)
Condition
There are several vertical splits to the wood extending from the lower rim of the brushpot into the sides. There is a small ca. 0.2x0.2cm large chip to the rim of the brushpot (visible in the catalogue illustration). The brushpot is well carved, the surface patinated to a dark colour.
