The larger watch is functioning when wound. Both watches are set into a gilt-metal case, the larger embellished with coloured cut glass stones. There is some wear to the enamelled faces and some cracks visible to the enamel of the face of the smaller watch. The gilding is worn on both the outside of both watches as on the cases. On the smaller watch case, the enamelled plaque shows small areas of loss to the lower part and sides. The keys of later date.
