Condition

Original canvas. There is a 1/4cm wide hole in the upper left corner. The canvas is covered in a layer of surface dirt. Paint shrinkage along the right shoulder of the sitter and minor abrasions along the frame edges. Inspection under UV does not reveal any signs of restoration. Held in a golden wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.

Yoko Nakamura was the owner of Gekkoso Gallery in Tokyo. This portrait was not included in the Gekkoso Gallery Nalbandian exhibition catalogue of 1976, possibly because it was a present from the artist to Mrs Nakamura.
