The panel has quite a roughly- hewn on the reverse surface and the edges. It is stable with a slightly convex bend ni the back, very flat on the painted surface, without cracks, and uncradled. The paint surface is good. There is a fine crquelure beginning on the pinks of the ain figure's jacket. Inspection under Ultraviolet light shows an uneven varnish which has leaked into the wood grain in some areas, this is not visible with the naked eye. There are flecks of retouching in the hair, hat and the aforementioned pink jacket of the main figure, as well as retouching of very dark fine details. This lot is sold in a gilt wooden frame, with schematised flower decoration, in very good condition. There is some old woodworm on the reverse of the frame.
