Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72246, stating that the sapphire, weighing approximately 40 carat and measuring approximately 21.75 x 17.55 x 10.60 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Signed Webb to interior band. Stamped Pt900 for platinum and 585 for 14 carat gold. According to the SSEF report, the sapphire is blue of strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; with typical crystal inclusions, few surface reaching. Rubies estimated to weigh a total of approximately 6.50 - 8.00 carats, well matched in colour, medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the mounting consistent with use.
