In good condition. The two bee brooches are slightly different and the brooch with the French assay marks may be newer than the other. The diamonds on the brooch with the French assay marks are comprised of a mix of modern round brilliants, old European-cut diamonds and baguette diamonds, approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity. The emerald is medium-deep slightly bluish green and moderately included with some surface-reaching fractures and a moderately deep scratch visible on the table under 10X magnification. One of the antennae looks like it was repaired. The other brooch displays a patina to the gold which could be a result of age. The diamonds are approximately I-K color, VS-SI clarity. The emerald is a medium slightly bluish green, moderately included with some minor surface-reaching fractures. The emerald is slightly loose in its mounting, but is still stable. The reverse of the brooch shows evidence of solder at both sides of the bee's body, the back was probably soldered shut, while the back of the other brooch is connected by screws. If the brooches are being worn together, the difference between the two are not obvious. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 59466 A and B stating that the emeralds are of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional. Accompanied by GIA report nos. 16858662 and 16858663 stating that the emeralds are natural beryl, with indications of moderate clarity enhancement.
