Condition
Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 12080086, stating that the sapphire, weighing 31.19 carats and measuring approximately 18.10 x 16.50 x 10.80 mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
Pin stamped with Russian assay mark and with spurious maker's marks. Engraved "December 4 - 1905" on reverse. The semi-transparent violet sapphire with strong six-rayed star, with typical inclusions, few nicks and scratches; for further information please refer to the Gübelin report. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 20 grams.
