The mouth and foot have been slightly dented, affecting the circular shape which is slightly misshapen. There are minor nicks to the mouth and foot. There are bruises to the exterior, especially the undecorated central are (most severe bruise is 2cm). Other general surface wear.

The shallow and fine surface casting of the body of the vessel contrasts effectively with the vigorous sculptural treatment of the side handles. The overall design successfully combines contemporary Song designs with subtle and distinguished archaistic elements.
