The brocade wrapper has been rubbed and faded, with loss to the title. Jade fastener is in good condition. Consolidation to the reverse of the painting when remounted, strengthened with additional thin strips of paper. There are humidity stains, and minor rubbing to the surface throughout, with loss to the silk and detail of the painting. As visible in the catalogue photo, there are vertical crease lines, several of which are more acute cracks. Other minor tears and scratches. Overall, good condition.edges

此卷工筆淡彩繪梨花、桃花、牡丹、虞美人、芍藥、蜀葵、芭蕉、菊花、水仙、梅花共十種花卉，春去夏至、秋往冬來，四時交替、十芳延綻。啓以白梨素雅幽靜，承以牡丹五彩絢斕，續以秋菊姹紫嫣红，接以水仙暗香脫俗，結以墨梅高潔傲骨。全卷多以沒骨暈染表現嫩瓣嬌葉，僅偶以深色線條交代邊沿，惟水仙、梅花用墨筆雙鉤。本卷繪風寫實，細膩入微，工整雅緻之處，與台北故宮博物院藏惲氏同於康熙二十七年（1688）繪牡丹冊相類，載於《故宮書畫圖錄》，卷24，頁86-89。

惲壽平（1633-90），初名格，字壽平，號南田，清初著名畫家，與王時敏、王鑒、王翬、王原祁、吳歷齊名，並稱「清初六大家」。初工山水，以靈巧峭拔見稱，後多作花卉，重於寫生，作品中有工筆、沒骨、水墨、寫意等。早期工整，後漸展秀勁，晚年更多見清潤明麗、別樹一格之品，有「惲派」之譽。其水墨高逸簡潔，也擅以色彩敷染描繪華葩爭妍。南田傚北宋畫家徐崇嗣創新之「沒骨花卉」，可謂青出於藍。沒骨花卉，即棄用墨筆鉤勒，全以色繪暈染，華萼更見淡雅盈潤，嬌嫩可人。南田畫沒骨淡彩，例可見北京故宮藏花卉圖冊，刊於《盛世華章》，英國皇家藝術學院，倫敦，2005-6年，編號251。徐崇嗣或因迎合北宋畫院品味，濃施豔彩，難臻逸韻。南田深淺兼採，濃淡相宜，靈秀脫俗。晚年更以淡墨代妍彩，純樸高雅。

據鑑藏印璽，本卷曾先後收入允禮及方濬頤典藏。和碩果親王允禮（1697-1738），康熙帝十七子，先後掌管理藩院、戶部三庫、戶部事務。乾隆初年，擢總理事務大臣。雍正年間，遷居御賜自得園，園內有御書匾額「春和堂」、「靜觀樓」等五幅。允禮擅繪畫、工書法、好詩詞，著有《春和堂集》與《靜遠齋詩集》等。方濬頤（1815-89）則乃道光二十四年（1844）進士，字子箴，號夢園。官至兩廣、兩淮鹽運使，後授四川按察使。明鑑善藏，書畫珍藏甚豐，頗具盛名。存世著作有《夢園書畫錄》、《二知軒詩文集》、《忍齋詩文集》等。
