of circular form supported on five short feet, delicately enamelled in black against a white ground with six imperial poems, inscribed with the characters Qianlong bingchen xiayue yuti ('imperially inscribed by Qianlong Emperor during the summer months in the bingchen year', corresponding to 1736), followed by two iron-red seals reading qianlong chenhan ('by the very brush of the Qianlong Emperor') and weijing weiyi ('be precise, be undivided'), the interior and base enamelled in pale turquoise, the rim and feet gilt, the base inscribed in iron-red with a six-character seal mark

The brushpot is in overall very good condition, with only one burst bubble to the bottom rim and an adjacent pinhole. There are also some expected minor wear to the gilt-decorated feet.

此件筆筒應屬一套五件之一，其上各書六首詩章。此套筆筒之一藏於國立故宮博物院，台北，曾展於《華麗彩瓷：乾隆洋彩》，台北，2008年，編號58。此件筆筒所題之詩，乃乾隆帝所作〈夏興三十首〉之首六詩，載於《御製樂善堂全集定本》，欽定四庫全書本，卷30，頁6-7。乾隆作序於1737年，由此推算作詩日期應早於1736年登基時。

記年乾隆丙辰夏月（1736年5月11日至8月6日），鈐「乾隆宸翰」、「惟精惟一」（出自〈大禹謨〉，《書經》）。

此處詩句亦可見於國立故宮博物院藏一對壁瓶及清汪由敦書御製夏興詩軸，編號中瓷005402及故書000561。

此套筆筒可能造於乾隆七年，但可以肯定不晚於十七年。據造辦處檔案，十七年時，乾隆皆曾詔命使用在位後所作之御製詩詞，而非親王時期《樂善堂全集》所錄之篇章，見嵇若昕，〈從文物看乾隆皇帝〉，《乾隆皇帝的文化大業》，國立故宮博物院，台北，2002年，頁233。
