of square cut, the back decorated with a pagoda within a flaming nimbus, enclosed within a circle and surrounded by symbols representing the sun, moon, abodes of the 'Three Pure Ones', celestial bodies and phoenix, the outer field worked with symbols of the five holy mountains, clouds, cranes, phoenix and lotus, all against a couched gold net-ground, enclosed within borders of auspicious animals and clouds edged with strips of silver-foiled paper

Condition

There are some scattered loose threads, and minor losses to the silvered paper, most noticeable in the border enclosing the central medallion on the back. A minor stain on the interior lining. Overall the robe is in good condition.
